Protecting your privacy, and your personal and financial data, is one of the first priorities at DMA Capitals. This policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, and how we protect it from anyone who should not have access to it.
01The data we collect
By opening a client portal, you agree to the processing of your personal data as this policy describes. That includes collecting, organising, storing, updating, using, anonymising, restricting, deleting and, in the cases set out below, sharing it.
We collect:
- Identity and contact details: your name, date of birth, address, email address, phone number and the identity documents you upload.
- Financial details: your deposits, withdrawals, payment methods, trading activity and, where our anti money laundering checks need it, your source of funds and income.
- What you tell us when you contact us, through the website, by email, by phone or in a survey in your client portal. This is voluntary, and helps us understand what you need.
- Technical details: your IP address, device and browser, and how you use our website and platforms.
Identity and contact details are required. Without them we cannot verify who you are, open your accounts or let you deposit, trade and withdraw. We may also rely on them if a dispute arises between you and DMA Capitals.
02How we use your data
- to verify your identity and contact details;
- to open your client portal and trading accounts, set them up and send you access codes and passwords;
- to process your deposits, withdrawals and trades;
- to meet our legal obligations, including anti money laundering and fraud prevention checks;
- to keep our services secure and to improve them;
- to tell you about new services, features and promotions. You can stop these messages at any time.
03Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we only share it in the cases below. Whenever we do share it, we require it to be kept confidential and secure.
- Legal requests
- When the law requires it, or when we receive a formal request from law enforcement or another government body.
- Compliance
- With tax authorities, or with bodies that need it to enforce laws against money laundering and terrorist financing, and where needed to protect our rights or property.
- Verification providers
- With the identity and document verification services we use to check who you are, as the law requires.
- Service partners
- With partners who help us run our services, such as payment and technology providers, and only as far as their service needs. You can ask us which partners provide services to us.
04Keeping your data secure
Your data is protected by encryption in transit, restricted access for our staff and secure hosting. Only the people who need your data to do their work can see it.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open and for at least 7 years after the business relationship ends, as our anti money laundering obligations require.
05Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your data, where we are not required by law to keep it;
- stop sending you marketing messages.
To make a request, email us at the address at the end of this page.
06Cookies
We use cookies so our website works properly and to support your trading. Cookies are small text files that our website stores in your browser. Ours do not contain your personal details, account numbers or passwords.
We may use outside providers to help run the website and to collect and analyse statistics about how it is used. They may set their own cookies on our behalf. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the website may then not work as intended.
07Other websites
This policy covers our own website and services only. It does not cover other websites, including those you reach through links on ours. Please read the privacy policy of any website before you give it your personal data.
08Communication and changes to this policy
- Our communication with you begins when we email you to confirm your registration. After that we may email you about changes and new services, and you may email us questions and suggestions.
- Ideas and suggestions you send us, other than your personal data, are not confidential, and we may use them without any obligation to you.
- We may review, store and delete correspondence with you, and review messages sent through your client portal to check the quality of our service.
- We may update this policy from time to time and will publish the new version on this page straight away. Please check it now and then.
